8th Finnish title for Antti Aakko.

Icespeedway Finnish Championship was raced 3.3.2012 in Seinäjoki. The biggest star in Finnish icespeedway Antti Aakko won all his heats by a mile and grabbed the title with maximum. Tomi Tani took his first Finnish medal, place second and lost only one point, when Aakko beat him in heat 11. Tani is developing his speed and skills all the time. Bronze was solved by ballot, beacuse Janne Vilponen and Harri Saari had both 7 points and there was no possibility to race a run-off. Saari was definitely the surprise of the day. The race was stopped after a crash in heat 16. Janne Kastren’s bike jumped in the back of Timo Kankkunen. Kastren hurted his shoulder, Kankkunen had only a couple of bruises. Due to warm weather the track was in poor condition and it was not safe to race anymore. There was no re-run for the heat 16 and the results were approved after 12 heats.
